Holiday Festival
Dec. 3

The annual Holiday Festival at the Marin Art & Garden Center (MAGC) is a perfect opportunity to treat yourself to something special and also pick up unique holiday gifts for those on your list.

Offerings include fresh greens for do-it-yourself decorating and ready-to-bloom paperwhites from the Garden Society of Marin; baked goods, gingerbread houses, homemade candy, and fancy cookies by Pixie Parents; and wreaths, ornaments, and more from the Decorations Guild. Don't miss the wonderful selection of crafts, ceramics, jewelry, and greeting cards offered by Marin Society of Artists, and take a stroll by MAGC's garden education bookstore and Laurel House for great shopping and festive cheer. Moya Library/Ross Historical Society will hold an open house, and the Ross Valley Players will hold drawings for season tickets and their holiday play, On Golden Pond. Porchlight Theatre Company will help host the event, greeting and directing visitors, and Santa will be on hand for pictures with the kids.

In addition to shopping, the festival presents holiday entertainment including Susan Reynolds and her Brookside singers, Music for Children's interactive play with song, dance, and instruments, and a vocal performance by DeTurk Academy.

For the little ones, MAGC will host the 2nd annual Teddy Bear Tea for kids 2-6 years of age and their special grown-ups. There will be two seatings of the tea at noon and 2pm, both held in the Garden Room with reservations required. The tea is a festive event including tea sandwiches and treats, a take-home holiday craft by Doodlebug, a teddy bear for each child, and a holiday sing-a-long.

In keeping with the spirit of the season, please bring a toy for the toy drive benefiting Adopt-A-Family.
