SF's club scene is concentrated in the SoMA (South of Market), a former industrial district where top DJs perform electronic music well past 2 am.

• The DNA lounge is an old storage warehouse with the best late night Music: Oldies to rock/techno (SoMA).
• The Mezzanine combines elite clubbing with the city's laid-back attitude. The dance floor is usually packed, but the upstairs lounge is the place to relax (SoMA).

• The Endup is the after-hours venue that has world-class dance music attracting a diverse mix of people. The club also features a fireplace, an outdoor deck and a patio with waterfall (SoMA).

Intimate Clubs

For a different kind of scene take a 10-minute cab ride to the newly revitalized Mission where some of the city's most hip and trendy residents hang out.
• El Rio is a unique bar that everyone enjoys. Weekend nights fill the room with high-energy dancers and the outdoor patio with a melting pot of people (Mission).
• The Make-Out Room offers vintage décor and a decidedly hipster crowd where live bands and DJs perform for the neighborhood's casual but sexy folk (Mission).
