From San Francisco International Airport (SFO)

By public transit:
Take a BART train ($5.15) from the airport to the Montgomery Street station. Follow directions for "From Montgomery Street BART station" below.

By shuttle
Airport shuttles will deliver you to the hostel's front door, though late-night hours may be limited. Look for a shuttle stop outside the baggage claim.

Lorrie's Airport Service offers a discounted rate of $13 per person for shuttle service between the airport and the hostel.

By taxi
Private taxis are readily available at the airport; a ride to the hostel will set you back about $45.

From Oakland International Airport (OAK)

By public transit:
Take an AirBART shuttle bus ($3, exact change) from the airport to the Coliseum/Oakland Airport BART station. Take a BART train ($3.35) to the Montgomery Street station. Follow directions for "From Montgomery Street BART station" below.

From Amtrak train stations 

From the Oakland or Emeryville Amtrak stations, take an Amtrak shuttle bus to the Ferry Building (at Market Street and the Embarcadero). Take a MUNI Metro train ($1.50, exact change) from the Embarcadero station (near the Ferry Building) to the Montgomery Street station. Follow directions for "From Montgomery Street BART station" below.

From Montgomery Street BART station

Walk up to street level and take MUNI bus #30 ($1.50, exact change) from Kearny/Market to Van Ness/North Point.

Walk one block west on Bay Street to Franklin Street. Turn right into Fort Mason and follow the HOSTEL signs to the left of the chapel and towards the water to the hostel.

From Transbay/Greyhound terminal

Monday through Saturday, take MUNI bus #10 ($1.50, exact change) to Van Ness/North Point.

On Sundays, walk from the Transbay/Greyhound terminal to Kearny and Market Streets. Take MUNI bus #30 ($1.50, exact change) to Van Ness/North Point.

Walk one block west on Bay Street to Franklin Street. Turn right into Fort Mason and follow the HOSTEL signs to the left of the chapel and towards the water to the hostel.

By car

From the North on Highway 101
Drive south aross the Golden Gate Bridge. Hwy 101 South becomes Lombard Street. Turn left on Franklin Street. Enter Fort Mason at Bay and Franklin. Proceed to the stop sign, turn to the left of the church and go to the end of the road. The hostel is a long, white building at the end.

From the South on Highway 101
Follow signs on Hwy 101 North to the Golden Gate Bridge exit. Exit at Octavia Blvd. Turn right on Oak Street (a one-way street). Turn left on Franklin Street (a one-way street). Go all the way to the end of Franklin and enter Fort Mason at Franklin and Bay. Proceed to the stop sign, turn to the left of the church and go to the end of the road. The hostel is a long, white building at the end.

From the East Bay
Drive west across the Bay Bridge on Hwy 80 West. Follow signs for the Golden Gate Bridge and exit at Octavia Blvd. Turn right on Oak Street (a one-way street). Turn left on Franklin Street (a one-way street). Go all the way to the end of Franklin and enter Fort Mason at Franklin and Bay. Proceed to the stop sign, turn to the left of the church and go to the end of the road. The hostel is a long, white building at the end.
